Data Collector

About the Role:

We are building intelligent home robots that can manipulate the real world with precision and reliability. High-quality data is essential to making this possible. As a Data Collector, you will use our provided hardware to record the motion and camera data that trains our robots, starting with laundry-folding tasks.

What You'll Do:

• Use the provided hardware to collect high-quality motion and camera data for household chores (starting with laundry folding).
• Attend a training session with our engineers to learn the exact data-collection process and standards.
• Follow task instructions clearly and precisely to ensure consistent, usable data.
• Meet your assigned quota of data-collection hours per week.
• Log and submit your data according to internal procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and sign an NDA before beginning work.


What We're Looking For:

• Genuine excitement about robotics and its role in the home.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency when following procedures.
• Clear communication skills; fluent in English.
• Able to meet quotas and deadlines without reminders.


Nice to Have:

• Access to varied laundry (e.g., if you live with family) to provide diverse demonstrations.
• A home with multiple rooms or different environments, allowing varied data collection backgrounds.
• Experience with robotics, teleoperation, or knowledge of how robots learn from data.
• Physically able to perform household tasks (e.g., lifting up to 50 lbs).
• If you know other reliable people who could excel in this role, we will give your application priority (potential growth into management role).

Details:

• $20–$30/hr depending on experience and quality/volume of data collected
• Full-time: 40–60 hours/week
• Part-time: Minimum 10 hours/week
• Fully remote
• Opportunities for advancement, including team lead/manager roles as we scale
